REDAS Training for Bago City, Negros Occidental PDF Print

PHIVOLCS conducted a six-day training entitled “Mainstreaming DRR into Local Development Planning Process Through the Provision and Use of REDAS Software” for Bago City, Negros Occidental.  It was held from 21-26 April 2014 at Community Center, Pobalcion, Bago City, Negros Occidental.  A total of 59 participants attended the training and were provided with REDAS version 2.8j, other modules and updates. Participants were composed of disaster managers, engineers, planners, doctors, nurses and teachers from Bago City Hall offices, Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, guest regional agencies (DOST, DPWH and HLURB), guest LGUs (Pontevedra, Binalbagan, Hinoba-an, Pulupandan, Silay City and Iloilo Provincial Government), Bago City College and Riverside College. A total of 61 license keys was issued during this training.

Bago City Mayor Ramon D. Torres and Vice-Mayor Nicholas M. Yulo both gave their welcome messages during the opening ceremony. Deputy Director Bartolome Bautista, as the guest speaker, gave his inspirational messages during the opening and closing ceremonies. Speakers and facilitators during the training were Bartolome Bautista, Maria Leonila Bautista, Janilla Deocampo, Jose Agustin Molas, Ramil Atando, Margarita P. Dizon, Johnlery Deximo, Abigail Polintan, Gianico Noble, Lawrence Aaron Bañes, Mary Rose San Diego and guest facilitators Merijene C. Ortizo and Myla M. Espende of Bago City CDRRMO, and Ceander Rosquillo of Bago City CHO.
