Project title: DYNASLOPE
Project description:
Monitoring of, and early warning for landslides, as a viable risk mitigation measure, reduces potential socio-economic losses due to relocation of communities at risk. It provides an alternative to engineering interventions, and thus contributes to the reduction of landslide hazard mitigation costs. The program aims to operate, optimize and assess the deep-seated landslide early warning system deployed in 50 sites across the Philippines. The current system consists of sensor-based and community-based monitoring systems, and protocols for monitoring and early warning. The project utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to the development of local early warning systems for landslides.
