Contract Duration:
August – December 2021

Job Description:
InnoLab
 Performs RS/GIS analyses for coastal studies and exposure database development
 Performs GIS techniques for suitability models
 Performs related vulnerability, exposure, hazard analyses, as may be required
 Generates relevant products or maps resulting form relevant workshops/design thinking activities
 Assists in the development and population of GeoMapperPH: Situation Data Mapper during emergency situations
 Generates relevant reports; submits minutes of meetings attended
 Conducts fieldwork, as may be necessary
 Assists and conducts lectures, as may be necessary
 Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

 

Educational Background
 BS Geography, Geology, Geodetic or any Engineering related courses are encouraged to apply

 

Experience/Training/Competency
 Knowledgeable and skilled in GIS applications, preferably ArcGIS
 Background in model building is an advantage
 Can work independently and collaborate with co-workers and other stakeholders
 Excellent communication skills, analytical
 Good team collaboration
 Pleasing personality
 With GeoRiskPH experience/training is an advantage

Job Description:
Hazard Map Layout Production
 Design and generate Geomatics-related value added maps (regional/provincial/municipal-scale earthquake and volcano hazard maps)
 Supports maintenance and monitoring of the Geomatics and Hazard Assessment Services Operations
 Assist in the development and population of GeoMapperPH: Situation Data Mapper during emergency situations
 Ensures that all maps produced are published in the gisweb interface
 Generated relevant reports; submits minutes of meeting attended
 Conducts fieldwork, as may be necessary
 Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

 

Educational Background
 BS Geography, Geology, Geodetic or any Engineering related courses are encouraged to apply

 

Experience/Training/Competency
 Knowledgeable and skilled in GIS applications, preferably ArcGIS
 Can work with minimal supervision
 Attention to details
