Employment status:
Contract of Services under Volcano Monitoring and Eruption Prediction Division (VMEPD) assigned at Volcano Observatory Operations and Management Section (Pinatubo Volcano Observatory)

 

Contract Duration:
October –December2021 (can be renewed if performance is at least satisfactory)

 

Job description:
■ Reports to Resident Volcanologist of Pinatubo Volcano Observatory (PVO) and the Volcano Observatory Operations (VOO) Section Heads
■ Performs normal and emergency mode monitoring duties and responsibilities as member staff
■ Maintains functionality, upkeep and efficiency of PVO and networks of remote stations
■ Provides information services to stakeholders within the AOR of PVO as assigned
■ Assists colleagues on fieldwork and participates in monitoring R&D
■ Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

 

○ Educational background
■ Graduate of BS Chemistry, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or any related courses are encouraged to apply

 

○ Required skills and qualities
■ With at least 1 year experience in engineering or science-based job
■ Technological skills and analytical skills
■ Self-motivated and with dedication to work
■ Has a Level 2 Professional Driver’s license
■ Can work with minimal supervision
