Quantitative Lahar Impact and Loss Assessment under Changing Land Use and Climate Scenarios Project (QLAP)

 

Project Duration:
January – May 2022

 

Job description:
■ Participates in the composition and writing of technical reports, ISO-compliant work instruction manuals, and peer-reviewed scientific articles from the final results and outputs of the project
■ Participates in the conduct of research related to the project
■ Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

 

○ Educational background
■ Graduate of BS Geology or any related courses are encouraged to apply

 

○ Required skills and qualities
■ Basic background in Geology, Geomorphology, Stratigraphy, Hydrology, Photogrammetry, and Remote Sensing
■ Technical report writing (basic to intermediate)
■ Close attention to details
■ Strong background in operation of GIS (preferably ArcGIS) is an advantage
■ With professional license or relevant certification
■ Can work with minimal supervision
■ Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills
