Contract Duration:
February – June 2022 (can be renewed if performance is at least satisfactory)
Job description:
● Assists in the implementation of PHIVOLCS GAD Learning and Development interventions
● Assists in the preparation of reportorial requirements requested by DOST and PCW
● Assists and coordinates the documentation of gender mainstreaming activities
● Assist workplace management activities including filing of GAD documents and records
● Maintain GAD database including sex disaggregated data, personnel attendance to GAD related activities
● Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Expected Deliverables:
• Record of all seminars conducted in PHIVOLCS and of the employees who have attended the seminars
• 1 GAD Accomplishment Report (GAR) prepared
• 1 GAD Plan and Budget prepared
• GMEF documentation (MOV’s) organized in print and digital format
• 2 major activities (Women’s Month and 18-day campaign to End VAW) coordinated
• 2 activity reports of gender mainstreaming activities (Women’s Month and End VAW) prepared
• Minutes of GFPS Meetings prepared;
• 1 Annual Report of GAD activities prepared
• 2 articles for the PHIVOLCS Observer written
• Memoranda and other communications prepared as needed
Educational background
• Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the job or at least 2 years of studies in college
Experience/Training/Competency
• Familiar with Gender and Development concepts
• Have attended or willing to attend Basic Gender Sensitivity training, Gender Analysis, Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines, Gender Mainstreaming and Evaluation Framework
• Work background related to processing of GAD data is an advantage
• Able to navigate simple information management systems; knowledgeable in computer office applications (MS Office suite: Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
• Basic Technical Writing skills
• Result-oriented, analytical, resourceful
• Excellent in interpersonal communication and good in coordination
• Can work with minimal supervision
