(1) Science Research Specialist II

 

Brief Description of the Position
Reports to the Division Chief;

Will be appointed as Head of Geochemical Monitoring and R&D Section;

Responsible for leading, supervising and assessing the performance of the section in conducting geochemical monitoring and studies of active volcanoes;

Oversee all geoscientific, analytical, technological and administrative aspects of geochemical monitoring and research;

Coordinate with all Project teams and Volcano Observatories;

Perform other functions as may be assigned from time to time

Bachelor's degree relevant to the job.

Conduct activities for the geochemical monitoring and studies of active volcanoes;

Perform normal and emergency mode monitoring duties and responsibilities;

Collaborate with colleagues on fieldwork and participate in other related monitoring and R&D activities of other Sections and Divisions when necessary;

Assist the performance of administrative commiments;

Performs other functions as may be assigned from time to time
