Project description:
The PHIVOLCS-funded project Development of Early Warning Systems for Landslides, also known as the DYNASLOPE Project, is a multidisciplinary endeavor addressing the problem of landslide risk. The project is composed of instrumentation engineers, software engineers, civil engineers, geologists, social scientists, and community developers working together towards the development of a community-based early warning system for landslides.

Monthly Salary: PhP 45,780.00
Job Description
● Conduct CBEWS-L Hardware Communications related development or systems deployment and maintenance, or related sensor developments
● Conduct work related to implementation of early warning system protocol
● Conduct pre and post fieldwork administrative tasks;
● Perform other duties that may be required by the project.
Educational Background
● BS Electronics and Communications Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering, BS Computer Engineering, BS Applied Physics
Experience/Training/Competency
● Relevant experience in Instrumentation, Electronics Engineering and Electronic System Development.
● Must be able to design, analyze, construct, verify and test Electronic circuits.
● Must be able to analyze component datasheets, specifically MEMS ICs (Accelerometers, Gyroscopes etc.) and apply its specifications in Electronic Hardware design.
● Must be adept in C/C++ Programming Language.
● Knowledgeable in Electronic Datalogger Systems, Sensor Networks and Microcontroller Firmware development (experience in ESP32 MCU Programming is a plus).
● Familiarity in Communication Bus Protocols (I2C, SPI, UART and CAN/TWAI), Embedded Wireless Communication Network Protocols (GSM and LoRaWAN) and its relevant hardware applications.
● Familiarity in Circuit Verification/Simulation Software (LTSpice, PSpice, NI Multisim etc.)
● Familiarity in PCB Design Software (KiCAD, EagleCad, Altium etc.) and High-Density Multi-layer PCB Design.
