Project Title: Management, Operations, Improvement and Implementation of Systems for Tsunami and Warning (MOIST Project)
Contract Duration:
December 2022 (can be renewed if performance is at least satisfactory)
Job Description:
Assists in 24/7 Earthquake and Tsunami Monitoring
Assists in Earthquake, tide, tsunami data collection including acquisition, processing, analysis and interpretation for quick reporting of event parameters and for timely issuance of bulletins
Up-to-date submission and collection of daily earthquake and tsunami data
Assists in timely issuance of Earthquake and Tsunami bulletins
Assists in the operations and maintenance of selected or assigned stations and other installations within the Area of Responsibility
Assists in the compilation of Earthquake and Tsunami bulletins issued
Assists in the repair, preventive maintenance and upgrade of Seismic and Tsunami stations
Assists in the paper works and coordination with LGU’s
Assists in the earthquake and community tsunami awareness programs and activities
Performs other tasks that may be assigned
Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or any engineering/science related courses are encouraged to apply
Experience/Training/Competency
Can work with minimal supervision
Must be honest and polite

Assists in the repair, preventive maintenance and upgrade of Seismic and Tsunami stations
Assists in the preserving good work environment at the Data Receiving Center (DRC)
Assists in the earthquake, tide and tsunami data collection
Assists in the paper works and coordination with LGU’s
Assists in the processing of financial and travel paper works of the project, STNO Section and the Division
Assists in the community tsunami awareness programs and activities
Assists in the earthquake and community tsunami awareness programs and activities
Performs other tasks that may be assigned
Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or any engineering/science related courses are encouraged to apply
