Position Title
Science Research Assistant

 

Brief Description of the Position
• Reports directly to the Section Head and Division Head;
• Assists in the implementation of projects and collaborate with other team members in the conduct of transdisciplinary Research and Development (R&D) studies pertinent to Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) that includes the field of physical and social risk assessments, communication, public perception and policy research;
• Able to conduct R&D research with minimal supervision leading to writing technical reports, policy papers and scientific and/or social science publication;
• Able to contribute to the development of the Institutes' information materials;
• Willing and fit to travel anywhere in the Philippines;
• Perform other functions as may be assigned

Qualification Standards
Education
Completion of 2 years studies in college.
Graduates of any Earth and Social Sciences related courses are encouraged to apply.

Training
4 hours of relevant training

 

Experience
1 year of relevant experience.
Those with experience in DRRM related research are encouraged to apply.
