Project description:
The PHIVOLCS-funded project Development of Early Warning Systems for Landslides, also known as the DYNASLOPE Project, is a multidisciplinary endeavor addressing the problem of landslide risk. The project is composed of instrumentation engineers, software engineers, civil engineers, geologists, social scientists, and community developers working together towards the development of a community-based early warning system for landslides.

Monthly Salary:
PhP 37,584.00
Job Description
● Conduct system management to software (full-stack web and mobile applications) development;
● Assists in the development of client and experts web presentation interface;
● Assists in the development of the mid and high fidelity prototypes;
● Conduct pre and post fieldwork administrative tasks;
● Conduct work related to implementation of early warning system protocol;
● Perform other duties that may be required by the project;
● Participate in meetings and workshops facilitated for the whole projects;
● Submits necessary individual/team/group documents to MEAL
Educational Background
● BS Information Technology, BS Computer Science, or any programming related course
● Experience/Training/Competency
● Proficient in Ubuntu / Windows / CentOS Server; Atleast 1 year of experience in GIT; At Least 1 year of experience in Websocket protocols
● Knowledgeable of Test Driven Development using Mocha / PHPUnit / PyUnit / Selenium Web drive;
● Has an experience in Agile Framework; Proficient in Python / Flask / React JS/ React Native and Nodejs;
● Has an experience in Web Design; CSS, Bootstrap framework, Material UI
● Preferably with landslide monitoring experience with Data analysis and Community relations for at least 1 year;
● Preferably has experience with Embedded Linux system; Has experience in Highcharts.js;
● Preferably has experience in sqlalchemy (ORM);
● Preferably has experience in POSTMAN (API Testing platform)

Job Description
● Conduct electronic hardware and sensor network related research and development including its design, testing, deployment and maintenance
● Conduct research related to hardware (data communication) development
● Conduct pre and post fieldwork administrative tasks
● Conduct work related to implementation of early warning system protocol
● Perform other duties that may be required by the project
● Participate in meetings and workshops facilitated for the whole project
● Submits necessary individual/team/group documents to MEAL
Educational Background
● BS Electronics and Communications Engineering/Electronics Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering, BS Computer Engineering, BS Applied Physics
Experience/Training/Competency
● Relevant experience in Instrumentation, Electronics Engineering, Electronic System Development and/or Embedded Systems Development
● Must be able to design, analyze, construct, verify and test Electronic circuits.
● Must be able to analyze component datasheets, specifically MEMS ICs (Accelerometers, Gyroscopes etc.) and apply its specifications in Electronic Hardware design.
● Must be adept in C/C++ Programming Language.
● Knowledgeable in Electronic Datalogger Systems, Sensor Networks and Microcontroller Firmware development (experience in ESP32 and/or STM32 MCU Programming is a plus).
● Familiarity in Microcontroller Communication Bus Protocols (I2C, SPI, UART and CAN/TWAI), Embedded Wireless Communication Network Protocols (RF, GSM, P2PLoRa and/or LoRaWAN) and its relevant hardware applications.
● Familiarity in PCB Design Software (KiCAD, EagleCad, Altium Designer etc.) and High-Density Multi-layer PCB Design.
