Project description:
The PHIVOLCS-funded project Development of Early Warning Systems for Landslides, also known as the DYNASLOPE Project, is a multidisciplinary endeavor addressing the problem of landslide risk. The project is composed of instrumentation engineers, software engineers, civil engineers, geologists, social scientists, and community developers working together towards the development of a community-based early warning system for landslides.

Monthly Salary:

Job Description
● 24/7 technical support to provide continuous assistance and resolution for urgent bugs and script issues that may occur in our software or application;
● Development of new features and modules for web application (MIA & CBEWS-L) and mobile application;
● Database management;
● Perform maintenance and updates for various web applications;
● Transition from Cron jobs and Other executable scripts to PM2 (Process Management library);
● Updating of Python version used on CBEWS-L Scripts (Transition from 3.7 to 3.11)
● Conduct pre and post fieldwork administrative tasks;
● Conduct work related to implementation of early warning system protocol;
● Perform other duties that may be required by the project;
● Participate in meetings and workshops facilitated for the whole projects;
● Submit necessary individual/team/group documents to MEAL;
Educational Background
● BS Information Technology, BS Computer Science, or any programming related course
Experience/Training/Competency
● Proficient in Ubuntu
● At least 3 year of experience in GIT
● Has an experience in Agile Framework
● Proficient in Python / Flask / React JS/ React Native, Nodejs
● Has an experience in Web Design; CSS, Bootstrap framework, and Material UI
● Has landslide monitoring experience with Data analysis and Community relations for at least 1 year;
● Has experience with Embedded Linux system;
● Has experience in MYSQL
