Monthly Salary: Php 61,628.00/month
Project Title: ACER Project 4: Deterministic Ground Shaking and Earthquake-Induced Landslide Hazard Modeling UsingGeophysics, Remote Sensing, and Artificial Intelligence
Employment Status: Contract of Services under Geomatics and Hazards Assessment Service Section of Geology and Geophysics Research and Development Division (GGRDD) Geophysics, Remote Sensing, and Artificial Intelligence
Contract Duration: April - December 2024
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assists the Program supervisor in ensuring that program outputs and goals, and other administrative requirements are achieved
2. Leads the researchers in adopting, innovating and developing methodologies, procedures and/or tools
3. Manages and implements the assigned component project plan4. Lead and supervise filedworks, collection, reduction, and integration of data, and analyze information and generate results
5. Manage knowledge ensures the quality of information generated by the project component
6. Write publishable papers and finalizes project technical reports; reviews and edits the results and papers of the component project
7. Coordinates and collaborates with other senior staff and other stakeholders
8. Perform other tasks related to the program that may be assigned from time to time
Educational Background: Graduate of BS Geology or related earth science courses, Physics, or Engineering
Experience/Training/Competencies:
1. With sound understanding of research topic principles and methodologies related to earthquake sources and effects
2. Advanced field mapping and GIS skills
3. Able, willing and fit to travel and conduct fieldworks
4. With good technical writing and presentation skills
5. Able to communicate well with coworkers, partners and stakeholders
6. Able to manage people, work schedule and project activities
7. Programming skill is an advantage
- Earthquake-Induced Landslide (EIL) : Preferably with experience in geotechnical engineering, geology/geological engineering
