One (1) Project Technical Specialist IV

 

Project Title: ACER Project 4: Deterministic Ground Shaking and Earthquake-Induced Landslide Hazard Modeling Using Geophysics, Remote Sensing, and Artificial Intelligence

 

Employment Status: Contract of Service

 

Monthly Salary: Php 61,628.00/month

 

Contract Duration: September - February 2025

 

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assists the Program supervisor in ensuring that program outputs and goals, and other administrative requirements are achieved
2. Leads the researchers in adopting, innovating and developing methodologies, procedures and/or tools
3. Manages and implements the assigned component project plan
4. Lead and supervise fieldworks, collection, reduction, and integration of data, and analyze information and generate results
5. Manage knowledge ensures the quality of information generated by the project component
6. Write publishable papers and finalizes project technical reports; reviews and edits the results and papers of the component project
7. Coordinates and collaborates with other senior staff and other stakeholders
8. Perform other tasks related to the program that may be assigned from time to time

 

Educational Background: Graduate of BS Geology or related earth science courses, Physics, or Engineering

 

Experience/Training/Competencies

1. Experienced in Seismic Hazard Analysis
2. Experienced in Seismic Instrumentation (Refraction Microtremor; 3-Component Microtremor), Geophysical Data Processing, and Interpretation
3. With sound understanding of research topic principles and methodologies related to earthquake sources and effects
4. Advanced field mapping and GIS skills
5. Able, willing and fit to travel and conduct fieldworks
6. With good technical writing and presentation skills
7. Able to communicate well with coworkers, partners and stakeholders
8. Able to manage people, work schedule and project activities
- Ground Shaking (GS): Preferably with experience in seismic instrumentation and processing, geological
engineering, civil engineering
