Brief Description of the Position

Supervises all personnel and activities under the Section to ensure that all initiatives by the GeoRisk Philippines (GeoRiskPH) are sustained and expanded;

and all related efforts by the Division are integrated and mainstreamed with other GeoRiskPH products and spin-offs (e.g. additional features for the HazardHunterPH, GeoMapperPH, and GeoAnalyticsPH) and the Geomatics RS & GIS R&D and operations for earthquake and volcano-related hazards and/or studies;

Drives continuous innovations on the use of Remote Sensing and GIS for the purpose of hazards and risk assessments;

Ensures provision of Hazards Assessment Service to stakeholders;

Develops initiatives that would contribute for the PHIVOLCS Risk Information Management and Assessments (PRIMA);

Release Manager, Product Owner (Agile);

Leads researchers in the formulation of risk-related innovations, driving generation of Science-based high-level government decisions and policies;

Studies the pros and cons of implementing policies that will impact GeoRiskPH;

Collaborates and meets with other researchers for risk studies or initiatives related to policy development;

Leads researchers in the formulation and planning for the development of stakeholder-sensitive products and services;

Perform other functions as may be assigned
