The Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (DOST-PHIVOLCS) launches HazardHunterPH Mobile v2.0 for Android OS (Figure 1).

For Android users, the app is available via the Google Play Store. Just search for HazardHunterPH or go directly to this link https://bit.ly/3amVTIp. You may want to remove the previous version of the app first if you have it installed in your device. It will also be available in iOS devices very soon. For people who prefer to work on their computers, or who want to access other features of the platform, the web version may be used.

HazardHunterPH is the Philippines’ one-stop shop GIS platform for hazard assessment services (Figure 2). The application allows users quick and easy generation of multi-hazard assessment summary (Figure 3) and comprehensive reports. HazardHunterPH is helpful as a reference of property owners, buyers, land developers, planners, and other stakeholders needing immediate hazard information and assessment. It aims to increase people's awareness to natural hazards and advocates the implementation of plans to prepare for and mitigate the effects of natural hazards.

HazardHunterPH is a product of GeoRisk Philippines, a multi-agency initiative led by DOST-PHIVOLCS and participated by DOST-PAGASA, DOST-ASTI, DENR-MGB, DENR-NAMRIA, DND-OCD, DepEd, DOH, NHMFC and SHFC.
