DOST Undersecretary and PHIVOLCS Officer-in-Charge, Renato U. Solidum, Jr., received donations of solar panels on 30 June 2021 at the PHIVOLCS Auditorium in Quezon City. PetroSolar Corporation Vice President, Francisco G. Delfin, Jr., handed over 11 panels of Trina Solar TallMax TSM-PD14 with 335 power watts (Wp) measuring 1956 x 992 x 40 mm. These panels will be installed in the volcano observatories for additional power supply.

During the ceremonial turnover, Usec. Solidum and Mr. Delfin formally signed the Deed of Donation in the presence of DOST-PHIVOLCS Deputy Director Teresito C. Bacolcol and Volcano Monitoring and Eruption Prediction Division (VMEPD) Chief, Ma. Antonia V. Bornas. 

PetroSolar operates and maintains the 70MW Tarlac Solar Power Project located in Central Technopark in Tarlac City. The donation is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility.
