Pilipinas, Atin ‘to!: GeoRisk Philippines to unveil platform upgrades!
In six years, GeoRiskPH has developed innovative tools, such as HazardHunterPH, GeoMapperPH, GeoAnalyticsPH, and PlanSmart: Ready to Rebuild, to provide a user-friendly platform for assessing hazards and risks, as well as for collecting, managing, and visualizing data. GeoRiskPH is set to unveil the upgraded versions, HazardHunterPH Pro and GeoAnalyticsPH Pro, and the GeoRiskPH Integrated Platform (GRIP).
The HazardHunterPH Pro features a newly built interface and enhances the user's capability to generate bulk hazard assessment reports on multiple locations simultaneously and to browse archives of assessed sites. “The HazardHunterPH Pro primarily aims to streamline hazard assessment processes by significantly reducing the number of steps required for risk evaluations. This new development will empower stakeholders to formulate evidence-based plans and decisions,” said PHIVOLCS Supervising Science Research Specialist and GeoRiskPH Program Leader Ms. Mabelline T. Cahulogan.
Meanwhile, GeoAnalyticsPH Pro can generate maps and analyses using LGU-owned data integrated with GeoMapperPH. Lastly, GRIP serves as the primary system for user credential management, providing stakeholders with easier access to all systems developed and maintained by GeoRiskPH.
Interactive Training Workshop: Be A Pilot User!
A three-day training workshop with comprehensive lectures, demonstrations on the use of the GeoRiskPH tools, and hands-on activities will be held to enhance the participants' capacity in hazard and risk assessment, monitoring, and timely response to lessen the impacts of natural hazards and promote community resilience.
