There were 27 participants during the training: 3 from Davao Del Norte Provincial LGU; 5 from Davao Del Sur Provincial LGU; 3 from Davao Occidental PPDO Provincial LGU; 5 from Davao Oriental Provincial LGU; 5 from Davao De Oro Provincial LGU; and 6 from Davao City LGU. The participants were provided with REDAS 2.9j and ETAM 2.5.3 versions. A total of 26 REDAS and ETAM software license keys were issued during the said event.

The first day of the training covered the installation of the REDAS Software and ETAM. An overview of the HazardHunterPH App of the GeoRiskPH was also imparted to show the participants another tool to generate indicative hazard assessment reports on the user's specified location. The second day of the training covered lectures on the introduction and installation of the REDAS ETAM, new features such as Identification of Safe Evacuation Sites and Fastest Routes, Earthquake and Earthquake Hazards, and Tsunami Generation, Propagation, and Numerical Modelling.  Developing Exposure Database using REDAS EDM GeoMapper and StreetView was also introduced.

The participants, who mostly had experienced the old version of ETAM, were taught the new features which they found more user-friendly. One of the highlights of the latest version is the Google satellite base map which is very useful for them in identifying and delineating safe evacuation routes. In this new ETAM version, users can also report earthquake intensities and view PHIVOLCS Earthquake and Tsunami  Information conveniently. After the training, the participants signified their plans to update the existing ETAM version in their respective offices with the new version. They also looked forward to conduct REDAS training in their provinces.

The training was headed by DOST Associate Scientist and REDAS Programme Coordinator Maria Leonila P. Bautista and REDAS consultant Bartolome C. Bautista.  The PHIVOLCS speakers and facilitators included Robelyn Z. Mangahas, Ian P. Javier, Rudgel F. Mirabite, John Deladia, and Jordana Marie L. Argamosa.
