Reports to the Geophysical Monitoring and Research and Development;  Assists in the processing, analysis and interpretation of geophysical monitoring and related data;  Conducts research for monitored active volcanoes; Helps develop new applicants and tools to increase the efficiency and accuracy of volcano monitoring; Performs day-to-dayq monitoring duties and responsibilities and other duties and tasks as assigned.

Two (2) Science Research Assistant

Job Description

Permanently assigned to the Kanlaon Volcano Observatory (KVO) and General Santos Observatory (GSO); Report to the Resident Volcanologist of KVO and the Officer-in-Charge of GSO, respectively, and to the VOO Section Head; Perform normal and emergency mode monitoring duties and responsibilities; Maintain fuctionality, upkeep and efficiency of KVO/GSO and its network of remote stations; Provide information services to stakeholders within the AOR of their Volcano Observatory; Assit collegues on fieldwork; Participate in monitoring R&D and perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by their supervisors.
