Job Description
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing geospatial data from fieldwork and secondary sources;
- Support the creation and maintenance of geospatial databases and digital maps;
- Perform basic spatial analysis under the supervision of senior GIS staff;
- Help prepare map layouts, visualizations, and geospatial layers for reports and presentations;
- Conduct data entry and ensure proper documentation of metadata and GIS processes;
- Assist in validating spatial datasets through field verification and coordination with stakeholders;
- Collaborate with other team members to integrate GIS outputs into platforms and applications;
- Support research related to the design and development of the project’s systems and platforms;
- Provide logistical and technical support during GIS-related trainings, workshops, and UAT sessions;
- Follow data standards and workflows established by senior GIS staff to ensure consistency and quality;
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and deployment plans for handover to implementing agencies; and
- Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Project Leader and senior project staff.
Educational Background
– Preferably BS Geology, Geography, Geodetic or any geospatial-related course.
Experience/Training/Competency
– Critical thinker; Analytical; Knowledgeable and skilled in GIS applications, preferably ArcGIS, knowledgeable with graphic softwares
