One (1) Science Research Specialist I

 

Brief  Description of the Position:

1. Conducts research and development that includes monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment of past PHIVOLCS capacity building activities;

2. Assists in organizing and conducting PHIVOLCS capacity building activities such as the GeoRiskPH Regional, Provincial, and local trainings;

3. Co-maintain the GeoRiskPH databases, publishing of map services, and account creation;4. Communicate with stakeholders to ensure GeoRiskPH platforms are accessible and usable to stakeholders;

5. Assists in disseminating information and engaging with partner agencies, and other stakeholders of PHIVOLCS;

6. Writes report, articles, and other documents required for trainings;

7. Conducts data cleansing and data management, create web maps and web apps for training;

8. Writes research papers for possible publication in peer-reviewed journals;

9. Supports in the maintenance of the GeoRiskPH Integrated Platform, GeoRiskPH Integrated (Database) System;

10. Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time;

11. Willing and fit to travel anywhere in the Philippines.
