Contract of Services under Earthquake Geology and Geophysics R&D Section (EGGRDS) of Geology, Geophysics Research and Development Division (GGRDD)
Project title: Deterministic – Ground Shaking; and Earthquake Hazard Mapping – GS Component
Contract Duration:
February –June 2022 (can be renewed if performance is at least satisfactory)
Job Description:
Knowledge in GIS software to create and manipulate vector files, automate routine processes and develop and manage workflows
PGA modeling and GIS modeling using REDAS
Database management and develop schema
Conduct R&D and write technical reports
Willing to conduct fieldwork
Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Educational Background
BS Civil Engineering, Geology or any Geo-Engineering related courses are encouraged to apply
Experience/Training/Competency
Knowledge in GIS is preferred
Knowledge on the use of remote sensing images (e.g. LIDAR, DEM) including its processing
Good technical report writing skills
Knowledge in data management and Microsoft Office
Knowledge in programming is a plus
Close attention to details
Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills
