Job Description

• Use of GIS software to create and manipulate vector and raster data, semi-automate routine processes, and develop and manage workflows.
• Assist in processing and analyzing remote-sensing data.
• Interpret landforms related to active faulting and tectonic structures.
• Compile related literature and existing datasets needed for the analysis of active faults and improving methodologies.
• Assist in data collection during fieldwork and site surveys.
• Manage and process post-fieldwork data.
• Assist in creating presentations.
• Assist in writing technical reports and publishable papers.
• Assist in building and populating the database.
• Contribute ideas during meetings and reviews.
• Perform other functions as may be assigned from time to time, including involvement in other projects and services.

 

Educational Background

– Graduate of BS Geology, BS Geography, BS Geodetic Engineering or related degrees

 

Experience/Training/Competency

– Knowledgeable in any GIS software
– Basic knowledge of data management and Microsoft Office
– Basic mapping skills
– Basic science research, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
– Good technical writing skills
