Project description:
The M.O.V.E. (Measurement of Velocities of Earthquake Faults) Project is a government- supportedresearchprogramaimedatquantifyingthekinematicsandmechanicalbehaviorof active faults in the Philippines through GNSS-based geodetic techniques. With a network of over 300 GPS campaign sites and CORS stations across the country, the project provides critical data on crustal deformation, particularly along the Philippine Fault and other tectonically active zones.

 

Implementing Agency: Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS)

 

 

Employment status: Contract of Services under PHIVOLCS locally-funded project

 

 

Contract Duration: July to December2025 (maybe renewed if performance is satisfactory)

Monthly Salary: 25,453

Job Description:
• Prepares equipment, logistics, documentation, and setup for GPS campaign surveys.
• Maintains Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS).
• Maintains other project-related equipment.
• Undertakes other tasks related to the performance of the specified responsibilities.

Educational Background:
Graduate of 2-year vocational course on Electronics, Electromechanical, and other related fields

Experience/Training/Competency:
• Working knowledge in electronics and electrical supply systems.
• Experienceintheuseofhigh-precisionGPSandotherrelatedequipmentisan advantage.
