Job Description
- Communicate and coordinate with PHIVOLCS PSHRA TWG members, LGU partners, and other external stakeholders from relevant local and national government agencies and the private sector regarding in-person/virtual consultation meetings, presentations, and technical collaborations
- Arrange in-person/virtual meetings, venues, schedules, notices, coordination, and follow-throughs; prepare document proceedings and minutes, and draft technical reports.
- Participate in exposure data requests, on-site validation, and in-person coordination meetings during fieldwork and site visits.
- Assist the Project Leader in the production of the probabilistic seismic hazard maps and event-based probabilistic risk assessment results using ArcGIS, Excel, MATLAB, and QGIS Programs; in the PSHRA calculations using OQ Engine, and in the enhancement of the Buildings Portfolio of prioritized HUCs (Taguig City and other HUCs)
- Assist in the development of the probabilistic seismic hazard maps and event-based probabilistic risk assessment figures, tables, visualizations, and results in the PSHRA calculations using OQ Engine and other related programs, and in the enhancement of the Buildings Portfolio of prioritized HUCs (Taguig City and other HUCs)
- Assist the Project Leader in achieving the PSHRA project objectives and goals as necessary.
- Partly assist in the maintenance and operation of the Intensity Meter Network as approved by the PSHRA Project Leader.
- Participate in earthquake and tsunami monitoring at the Data Receiving Center when requested and approved by the PSHRA Project Leader.
Educational Background
BS Civil Engineer, Geologist, Programmer, Information Technology, or any related Technical Professional course
Experience/Training/Competency
- Working knowledge/experience and/ or training/course completed in technical report writing
- Have a good command of the English language (oral and written), basic data processing skills, basic programming skills (python)
- Diligent, resourceful, reliable
