The PHIVOLCS-funded project, Development of Early Warning Systems for Landslides, also known as the DYNASLOPE Project, is a multidisciplinary endeavor addressing landslide risk. The project is composed of instrumentation engineers, software engineers, civil engineers, geologists, social scientists, and community developers working together towards the development of community-based early warning system for landslides (CBEWS-L).

Contract Duration:
June 1 to June 30, 2026 (initial contract), with expected renewal for the succeeding period (July–December 2026), subject to satisfactory performance.
One (1) Project Technical Specialist I for Landslide Risk Awareness and Preparedness – Strategic Communications Team
Monthly Salary: PhP 45, 694 plus 20% premium = 54,833
Key responsibilities:
1. Core outputs: Multimedia content production, visual communication, and public engagement

- Lead the conceptualization, design, and production of multimedia communication materials, including videos, motion graphics, social media content, publications, and IEC materials, to support public awareness, advocacy, and project visibility.
- Design high-quality visual assets (e.g., infographics, layouts, branding materials, presentations, and publications) in accordance with established project branding and communication standards.
- Translate technical and development-related content into engaging, accessible visual and multimedia outputs for diverse audiences, including communities and local government units (LGUs).
- Co-develop and implement multimedia-driven communication strategies and campaigns, ensuring consistency in messaging and strong audience engagement across platforms.
- Manage and optimize social media platforms, including content planning, publishing, and performance analysis, to enhance reach, engagement, and impact.
- Gather and integrate audience and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve communication materials and strategies.
- Contribute to research and documentation to inform the development of evidence-based communication and IEC materials related to CBEWS-L and disaster preparedness.
2. Administrative tasks, compliance, and reporting

- Conduct pre- and post-fieldwork administrative tasks.
- Participate in project, group, and team meetings and workshops.
- Submit necessary individual, team, or group documents to MEAL.
- Perform other project-related tasks as assigned.
Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Multimedia Design, Mass Communication, Development Communication, Community Development, or related fields.
Work Experience
- At least two (2) years of relevant experience in visual communication, including graphic design and video production, for IEC campaigns, communication materials, and public engagement initiatives.
- Proven experience in conceptualizing, producing, and editing multimedia content (e.g., social media videos, campaign materials, explainers, short-form content).
- Experience in developing and executing public education/engagement campaigns within communities on disaster preparedness or other development issues.
- Experience in working with multistakeholder groups and local government units.
- Experience in social media management, analytics, and media engagement is an advantage.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong graphic design skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
- Solid experience in video production (pre-production, production, and post-production), including editing using tools such as Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, or similar software.
- Ability to translate technical or development-related content into engaging visual and multimedia outputs.
- Strong knowledge of IEC development, public engagement, and facilitating training/workshops.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Filipino; additional local language/s are a plus.
- Strong writing skills (journalistic, creative, research, and technical).
- Knowledge of running social media campaigns, including content strategy and analytics.
- Well-organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks independently or as part of a team.
- A strong media network is an advantage.
- Willing to render monitoring work on an as-needed basis, which may occasionally include evenings, weekends, or holidays, and to participate in fieldwork.
