Job Description
- Assist in map layout using GIS software
- Assist in the compilation of landslide inventory database and data analysis
- Assist in conducting RS interpretations for landslides and for other related studies
- Assist in conducting R&D and assist in writing of technical reports.
- Assist in other tasks related to the completion of this project
- The staff will conduct fieldwork, if needed.
Educational Background
- At least a bachelor’s degree in geology or civil engineering or related field
Experience/Training/Competency
- Basic field mapping and GIS skills. Experience in remote sensing analysis and programming is an advantage
- Demonstrate fundamental scientific research, analytical thinking and problem—solving skills
- Experience with common office applications and database management
- With good technical writing and presentation skills
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and interest in fieldwork and research
- Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills with team members

Job Description
- Assist in the creation and manipulation of vector files, automation of routine processes and development and management of workflows using GIS software
- Assist in PGA modeling and GS modeling using REDAS
- Assist in data management and schema development
- Assist in the use and processing of remote sensing images (e.g. LIDAR, DEM)
- Assist in the conduct of R&D and writing of technical reports.
- Assist in other tasks related to the completion of this project
- The staff will conduct field work, if needed.
Educational Background
- At least a bachelor’s degree in geology or civil engineering or related field
Experience/Training/Competency
- Willing and fit for travel and fieldwork
- Basic field mapping and GIS skills. Experience in remote sensing analysis and programming is an advantage
- Demonstrate fundamental scientific research, analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Experience with common office applications and database management
- Experience using geotechnical and geophysical equipments, and other mapping technologies
- With good technical writing and presentation skills
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and interest in fieldwork and research
- Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills with team members
