One (1) Science Research Specialist II

Brief Description of the Position:
1. Assists the Information Technology Officer and Senior Science Research Specialist on data management and QA/QC of GeoRiskPH services;
2. Assists in maintaining the enterprise system of GeoRiskPH;
3. Conducts research on supervised and unsupervised machine learning, develop models to aid in risk assessment;
4. Conduct and proposed Al solutions leveraging big data and advanced analytic tools and techniques contributing to GeoRiskPH;
5. Assists in maintaining the GeoRiskPH databases, publishing of map services, and account creation;
6. Drives advancements in data visualization and analytics for PHIVOLCS and for other agencies and organizations for related assessments;
7. Assists in disseminating information and engaging with partner agencies, and other stakeholders of GeoRiskPH;
8. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders in the development and maintenance of the National Exposure Database and other initiatives started by GeoRiskPH;
9. Conduct fieldworks and lectures;
10. Publishes papers in peer-reviewed journals; and
11. Performs other functions as may be assigned.

Monthly Salary: P 43,560

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
