One (1) Science Research Specialist I

Brief Description of the Position:
1. Conduct research and hazard mapping related to active faults and tectonics, utilizing skills in field mapping, geomorphological analysis, GIS, geophysical instrumentation, remote sensing and photogrammetry
2. Assists in general administrative works. Submit relevant documentation to the project supervisors
3. In charge of the geomorphologic, geotechnical, geophysical, geodetic and seismological data collation and processing
4. Participate in writing technical papers and preparing presentations
5. Assist in the conduct of training, capacity building, workshops, and consultations
6. Assess hazards and contribute to the completion of target deliveries of the division
7. Attend internal and external engagements
8. Perform other tasks/functions (may not be exclusively project/section related) as may be assigned from time to time, especially during times of emergencies.
